So the C's get a guy at 27 that was a projected top 10 pick. Anyone know why Robert Williams fell that far?

Anyone know why Robert Williams fell that far? probably injury, same as Michael Porter who was ranked as the #2 NBA prospect before the college season but fell to 14. I wanted the Knicks to take a chance on Porter. A potential all star if healthy, where as Knox at best ends up being a decent player. Todays NBA, you have to think big, think outside the box, be creative and be willing to take big risks. Knicks had a chance to do that by trading up for Trae Young or taking Porter. But they're the Knicks.....

"swing for the fences" is the exact term i used when discussing this last night. With Knox you get a safe healthy player whose gonna give you a double or single. With Porter, a huge swing and a miss or a HR. A double does nothing for the Knicks. With Young, assume he's Steph Curry, and ask the Kings to name their price to trade up.

When you are already good, or you don't have other options, is when you take the singles hitter, the role player, etc. But when you are in the basement, you gotta go big.

funny and sad at the same time. i hate social media and the rush from media to announce picks before they happened. I enjoyed the draft for exactly 2 picks before ESPN had that idiot give away most of the rest of the draft. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2387 ... cted-picks

Ben Simmons ROY. What a sham. you and the rest of Simmons haters are a sham. Blake Griffin won ROY under these same exact circumstances and nobody said shit. Now people just wanna bitch about everything. Him and Mitchell are the same damn age for crying out loud. you acting like Simmons learned everything he knows about basketball by siitting on the bench being around a bad team. id say Mitchell had more of an edge going into last season by simply playing and being active and not coming off serious injury. Simmons ballled the fuck out and deserves to win and has to deal with dumb schmucks giving him shit for no good reason. you people make me sick. i hope Simmons wins ROY again next season just to give you a real reason to bitch.

1. Simmons isn't a rookie. 2. Even if he were, based on regular season, I think Mitchell should have won anyways. 3. if you include post season, you know, when important basketball is being played, Tatum would have beaten both of them.

Irrelevant even if true.

IT to join Denver. Would have liked to see him with a contender, but I hope he can rebuild a career with the nuggets.

Lose a glue guy like Ariza, replace him with Melo. I like the Schroder pick up, hes an upgrade at the bench one spot, hes too small to play with westbrook, but he can score.

Ariza and Moute left for the money so there's that void to fill there. And there isn't really anybody else out there to get so.... Does it make Rockets better? Most likely not, but we'll see.
